On almost every occasion, chair performs the pivotal role in our lives-from morning tea cup and daily news paper to relaxing or watching television with family or friends. It was 16th century when people remarkably felt special sentiments for chairs. Though antique chairs were less ornamental and more functional but evolutionary changes sprouted when people started considering its uses for variety of purposes- for fashion, comforts, or to match up the dignity, power and show off the class and wealth and intricate ornamentation became a matter of interest. It was Renaissance when its demands substantially soared up and touched the peak of popularity all over Europe.

Antique Chairs with outward scrolling hands ending in knuckle handholds and frontal carving legs ending ball feet chairs were quite common in use. In this contemporary age, the trend of buying antique chairs for household furnishing has become fashionable.
